The Gibson Difference

QUALITY

The Gibson Heritage of quality and performance sets the standard for the exhaust industry to follow our commitment to improve and develop new exhaust systems provides the broadest range and best-engineered systems available today! As a company pledged to provide excellent customer service and technical support, we understand the need for quality products at an affordable price.

Our research and development department utilizing cad/cam software provides a constant flow of new products and innovations to meet the demand of today’s vehicles.

Gibson’s new product development is a result of our commitment to performance products that deliver results. We design our products in our fully equipped R&D center with multiple engine and chassis dyno’s along with flow bench and audio test equipment. Each new component must pass both quality and performance evaluations prior to a manufacturing commitment.

Our modern manufacturing factory uses computerized, numerically controlled, CNC mandrel tube benders which provide consistent accuracy and the highest quality levels. Warehouse inventory with modern computer-aided inventory control and a fully staffed shipping department ensures prompt shipment of your order. Today, GIBSON performance is still a family operated business housed in an ultra-modern 100,000 square foot facility in Corona, California, with 24 years of excellence in the exhaust aftermarket.

Gibson performance exhaust systems will give your vehicle more of what you’re looking for in a performance system.

POWER

Power...

Gibson delivers its’ power in the 2,000 to 4,000 rpm range. Other competitive systems claim more power by using the higher 5,000 to 6,000 rpm range... this rpm range is never used by street vehicles and seldom by high performance vehicles.

Turbulence...

exist at every point the exhaust gas “pulse” enters or exits an exhaust component. Gibson reduces turbulence to the absolute minimum in two ways. First our muffler reduces turbulence with it’s Superflow™ design which assist the exhaust gas in its flow out he system. Second, and most important in the reduction of turbulence, is our “slip fit” joining of all components. (Each pipe fits into the larger opening of the next downstream exhaust pipe.) This method contributes little turbulence when compared to “ball-and-socket” or “flange-and-gasket” joining which can create substantial power robbing back pressure and turbulence at each component joint. Or worse, a misaligned gasket or socket can actually create more back pressure than your current stock system!

SOUND

How much louder are the systems?

The split rear system and the dual sport system will be about 5-8 decibels louder than your stock system. Our quietest system is the single swept side. It produces a nice deep throaty sound outside, and is just slightly above stock in the cab.

FLOW

Bigger vs Better?

Too large of a pipe without the proper muffler will reduce low end torque but increase top end power. Gibson does not build our exhaust systems to flow as much as possible, but as efficiently a s possible. That’s why the right choice is a Gibson exhaust! Flow Area Comparison
