Gibson Performance was founded in 1990 with one simple goal: build an exhaust system that actually delivers real results. The idea started on the road in our own motorhome—after thousands of miles, we realized the performance exhaust options available simply weren’t producing the power and torque we needed. So instead of settling, we engineered our own solution.

Working alongside some of the industry’s most experienced engineers and technicians, we began designing and testing exhaust systems that delivered measurable gains—more horsepower, more torque, improved fuel economy, and cooler engine temperatures—without sacrificing reliability or ease of installation. From the beginning, our mission has been clear: create a cost-effective performance exhaust system that delivers more performance per dollar than anything else on the market.

As performance upgrades became increasingly popular for trucks and SUVs in the early 1990s, customers started asking for the same Gibson power and torque—paired with refined sound levels for daily driving. That demand launched the next chapter of Gibson Performance, expanding beyond motorhomes into trucks, SUVs, marine, and side-by-side (UTV) applications.
